Nottingham has a very good alternative scene at an international level. Rock city has over the years played host to some of the worlds largest acts. If you're into indie then The cookie club is the venue for you. The second floor of this venue is dedicated to indie rock and on a Wednesday night all the indie students are guaranteed to be heading there. If you are into live music whether it be punk, rock, old school, heavy metal then Rock City provides doses of this in large quantities.

The cookie club plays host to a large chunk of the alternative scene in Nottingham. Downstairs playing a blend of metal from SOAD to Fear Factory. On the middle floor the vibe is 100% indie and upstairs there is a chilled area with retro arcade games.
